Introduced as a single table 5 axis, MX-520 has come along way

At MACH 2026, Matsuura UK introduced the MX-520T PC7 — a 7-pallet, 5-axis mill-turn machine.

The original MX-520 was designed to give younger, ambitious companies access to a high-quality, entry-level 5-axis solution with a single-table configuration. Its success quickly led to the addition of a 4-pallet autochanger, developed in response to market demand. This upgrade enabled growing businesses to benefit from Matsuura’s renowned unmanned running capabilities within a 5-axis platform. Today, the MX-520 has evolved once again. Driven by customer demand, it now incorporates turning functionality and an additional three pallets — all within the same footprint as the previous 4-pallet version.

MTDCNC’s Lyndsey Vickers spoke with Simon Higgs, Matsuura’s South West Area Sales Manager, about this latest development in one of the company’s most successful product lines.
