We’d like to introduce you to one of our HP MJF customers, Firefly Orthoses.

Based in Sligo, Ireland they have demonstrated a step-change in their industry through mastering the integration of digital manufacturing and artisan finishing. So, whilst each of their products is unique & bespoke to the customer, they are all treated with the same process integrity.

Firefly’s products transform their patients’ lives through the combination of digital scanning, HP 3D printing and personal tailoring. Making shoe inserts that support, align, and improve the function of the foot, helping to reduce pain and enhance mobility.

Sustainability is at the heart of Firefly’s business so it was an important choice to use Nylon 11 for its 3D printing. Plant based and essentially organically derived, the material excels in delivering all that is required in terms of part performance.

Meeting Martin and his team, and being able to capture their story, was a great assignment. Take a look.
