L M S Precision Engineering of Droitwich, Worcestershire recently invested in a Matsuura H.Plus-405 Horizontal Machining Centre fitted with 6 Pallets and 120 tools on a 240 base. This is their first Horizontal Machining Centre having traditionally used Vertical machines with 4th Axis Rotary Tables.
This is yet another step in the L M S plan for continued investment in the latest technology. As the H.Plus-405 is in operation globally in every conceivable sector of manufacturing, by investing in a very high quality product from Matsuura, LMS have increased the chances of securing future work, knowing that their Matsuura investment will have the capacity, reliability & quality of support to pay future dividends.
"We decided that a Matsuura Horizontal Machine was the right way forward due to the potential reduction in set up times for our multi-face components. The investment in a machine of this specification is quite considerable for a small sub-contract machining business like ours, so we decided that the best way to get a machine of this type to pay in the long term was to be able to load the machine with a variety of work to keep the machines utilisation as high as possible", comments Roger Street, Company Owner & Managing Partner.
The H.Plus-405 PC6 (6 pallet) supplied to LMS Precision, is part of Matsuura's globally acclaimed H.Plus Series of horizontal machining centres.
