Following on from groundbreaking R & D which began in 2002 by Matsuura into a hybrid Laser/ Milling Machine, we are delighted to announce that the first product, the M-Photon is surpassing all expectations.

The technological advances of the M.Photon Series of machines are set to revolutionise machining concepts in a wide range of Industries. The M.Photon Series has been developed by Matsuura in conjunction with Matsushita Electric Works Ltd. 

Seen here at a recent exhibition in Japan, the M.Photon attracted a great deal of interest - particularly from visitors involved in Motorsport, Aerospace & Mould & Die.

Basic specification of the prototype machine is:

Molding area 250x250xH150 mm, CO2 Laser 500 W (pulse) galvo-scanner system

Max spindle speed 50,000 rpm , Spindle: linear motor driven, Acceleration X/Y:1G

Max feed rate X/Y:60m/min.
