New Multi Tasking Machine from Matsuura – EMO Launch

Following on from two years of beta site testing at a leading Japanese company in an arduous machining environment, Matsuura announce the launch of the last in the CUBLEX Series - the large capacity CUBLEX-63, a multi tasking mill turn multi pallet 5 axes machine. 

Offering a maximum work size of D630 x H450mm with a loading capacity of 350kg, the CUBLEX-63 has been designed for true multi tasking process integration - all coupled with Matsuura’s proven & established market leading “unmanned running” functionality.

The patented spindle lock design assures superb performance when either Milling or Turning - & a vast array of tailored options makes the CUBLEX-63 an extremely versatile machine tool for all industries & all known material processing. For optimal process integration the CUBLEX-63 can be supplied with a proven Grinding function.

A vast array of pallet & tool changer variants is available at launch along with the usual line up of Matsuura designed & built Spindle options. Standard spindle speed is 12,000 min-1 HSK-A63W (ICTM Standard) equipped with an AC 15/22 kW motor.

CUBLEX-63 is equipped with a dedicated direct-drive motor for the rotary table axis (C axis).
This direct-drive combines high speed & exceptional accuracy for milling, together with high-speed rotation (1,300min-1) for turning.

Offering full process integration & large capacity from a historically small machine footprint, the CUBLEX-63 (twin pallet) is a mere 3 metres in width x 6.5 metres in length – including rear facing coolant & swarf management system.

Matsuura will exhibit the CUBLEX-63 at EMO 2009 this October, which will be held in Milan, Italy. Matsuura at EMO can be found in Hall 7 on Stand G02 HO1.
